Divorce is a very emotional decision. There are some negative and positives effects of it. If you think that there’s a more joyful future, and then it’s okay to get divorced. 

Decision-making can be more peaceful: 

Decision-making matters in our life multiple times. It can affect our life either negatively or positively. However, decision-making can be arduous when you’re married. It’s tough for me to decide anything by myself. Before doing anything, I had to get permission or getting things approved from my ex. Now, I can do whatever I want to, and have the freedom to determine anything by myself. (Olivia, 46, Northampton)

Separation can make you a stronger and better mother:

When we broke up, I felt that my kids call for a little extra attention and consciousness. It’s way easier to handle kids without my ex-husband. All of my focus was on children only. Now, I much happier and more assertive because I am raising my children more competently and I am a better mother.
